Mountain Breeze is open year round.
Being fed from the bottom of Canyon Lake through the flood control gates
of the dam, water flow is almost
totally dependent upon the release
rates, measured in cubic feet
per second (CFS). Ideal rated for
whitewater excitement &
uninterrupted flow are between
300 & 700 CFS. Above 1000 CFS
the Guadalupe River should be
considered extremely dangerous
Although the peak season is from
Memorial Day through Labor Day,
Mountain Breeze doesn't stop
then ! We have some great Fall
fishing and camping action year
round. Fall brings beautiful
camping weather, as does
the transition from winter to
spring. Fishermen will find
excellent conditions, with rainbow
trout stocked, along with the
natural abundance of bass,
perch and catfish.
